Terms of Service

AutoGnome is an automotive discovery directory and scheduling platform. We help users find automotive businesses — including repair shops, parts retailers, events, and educational resources — and, where the business has enabled it, book appointments directly through the Platform.

AutoGnome is not itself an automotive service provider. We do not perform repairs, sell parts, organize events, or deliver any of the services offered by businesses listed on the Platform. We are a technology intermediary that connects users with independent businesses.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use features that require registration. By using the Platform you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@autognome.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain inaccurate information, or are associated with fraudulent activity.

No Endorsement

The presence of a business on AutoGnome does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or quality guarantee by AutoGnome. We do not independently verify the qualifications, licenses, insurance, or workmanship of any listed business. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before engaging any business found on the Platform.

Business Responsibility for Accuracy

Businesses that create or claim a listing are solely responsible for ensuring that the information they provide — including business name, address, hours, services, pricing, and any other details — is accurate, complete, and kept up to date. AutoGnome does not independently verify business information.

By submitting listing information, a business represents that: (a) the information is accurate and not misleading; (b) the business has the legal right to operate and provide the listed services; and (c) the business will promptly update the listing if any information changes.

Content License

By submitting content to the Platform (including business descriptions, photos, logos, and other materials), you grant AutoGnome a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.

Listing Approval

All listings are subject to review and approval by AutoGnome before becoming publicly visible. We reserve the right to refuse or remove any listing at our sole discretion, including listings that contain false information, violate these Terms, or are associated with a suspended account.

Platform as Intermediary

When you book an appointment through AutoGnome, you are entering into a service agreement directly with the business — not with AutoGnome. AutoGnome acts solely as a scheduling intermediary to facilitate the connection. We are not a party to any agreement between you and the business, and we do not control, supervise, or guarantee the services that will be performed.

No Liability for Service Outcomes

AutoGnome is not liable for: (a) a business failing to honor, cancelling, or rescheduling an appointment; (b) the quality, safety, or outcome of any service performed; (c) disputes between you and a business regarding pricing, workmanship, or warranty; or (d) any damage to your vehicle or property occurring at or as a result of a service booked through the Platform.

Disputes regarding services must be resolved directly between you and the business. We encourage users to leave honest reviews so the community can make informed decisions.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancellation and no-show policies are set by each business independently. AutoGnome displays each business’s policy where provided and is not responsible for enforcing or mediating any cancellation fee or dispute.

Search results on AutoGnome are determined algorithmically based on factors including but not limited to: relevance to the user’s query, geographic proximity, listing completeness, community rating, and verification status.

Rankings are not for sale.AutoGnome does not accept payment in exchange for higher placement in organic search results or on the map. Businesses on paid subscription plans may access enhanced visibility features (such as a “Featured” designation), but this affects only the display of that badge — not the underlying algorithmic relevance score applied to search queries.

We may update our ranking algorithms at any time. Changes in a listing’s position in search results do not constitute a breach of any agreement.

Certain features of the Platform — including enhanced listing visibility, analytics, scheduling tools, and other business-facing capabilities — require a paid subscription. All billing, payment, refund, and cancellation terms are governed by our Subscription & Billing Terms, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Reviews and ratings submitted by users reflect the individual opinions of those users and do not represent the views of AutoGnome. AutoGnome does not verify the accuracy of user reviews. We reserve the right — but not the obligation — to remove reviews that violate our prohibited conduct standards below.

You represent that any review you submit is based on your genuine experience and is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submitting fake, defamatory, or incentivized reviews is strictly prohibited.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent listing information or reviews.
• Impersonate any person, business, or entity.
• Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam).
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s integrity, performance, or availability.
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• List or promote businesses offering illegal services or products.
• Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
• Use automated tools to artificially inflate views, clicks, or reviews.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please send a notice to legal@autognome.app containing: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location on the Platform; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We also reserve the right to remove any content from the Platform at our sole discretion without prior notice.

The AutoGnome name, logo, design, code, and all other proprietary content on the Platform are owned by or licensed to AutoGnome and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use AutoGnome’s intellectual property except as expressly permitted.

The Platform integrates with third-party services including mapping, payment processing, search, and communication tools. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. AutoGnome is not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AutoGnome does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the platform is at your sole risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AutoGnome and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from or related to your use of the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

AutoGnome’s total cumulative liability for any claims arising from or related to these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid AutoGnome in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AutoGnome and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of or access to the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) any content you submit to the Platform, including inaccurate business information or fraudulent reviews; or (d) your violation of any third party’s rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be addressed through informal negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in [CITY, STATE] under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver: You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be conducted solely on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify registered users by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
